Language models become more useful in specialised settings when they can retrieve documents, call tools, and remain under human supervision. This work treats those ingredients as an applied-research problem in system design rather than as a product catalogue.

Agentic AI is a current technical direction. It is not the historical centre of the academic profile, which remains grounded in probabilistic modelling and statistical inference.
