About

My work lies at the intersection of applied mathematics, statistics, and artificial intelligence. I completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at INSA Toulouse, where I developed probabilistic approaches for studying demographic history from genomic data. This work led me to questions of identifiability, uncertainty, stochastic processes, and the relationship between mathematical models and the signals recovered from real data.

I subsequently worked as a research engineer at INRAE, the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse, and ENAC, applying optimisation, probabilistic modelling, simulation, and natural-language processing to problems in genetics, agriculture, and aviation safety. In industry, I have extended this work to medical imaging, clinical and scientific data, GNSS signal processing, generative models, and domain-specific LLM systems.

Across these domains, my central interest remains consistent: how can we combine domain knowledge, mathematical structure, and learning algorithms to make robust inferences and build useful tools? I also teach and mentor research projects in machine learning and AI, and I have been president of Toulouse Data Science since 2024.
